about

This was our second single and I think it charted higher than Harley on the Pop Charts.

Fun Fact #5

When we recorded this at Prince’s House, Paisley Park Studios, we had originally booked studio B, which had a super cool urban hip hop look and feel to it and the main selling point to me was the Flying Faders. (It meant that you could see all 48 faders moving all throughout the songs to what whatever levels you had previously chosen.) However, Prince was bringing in MC Hammer (Can’t Touch This) to record with him for a few days and wanted to use that studio. We were reluctant at first (no Flying Faders), but Prince gave us a great deal on Studio A where R.E.M (Losing My Religion) had just recorded their biggest award winning Hit album and we said yes. Thank you Prince for giving us more time to record within our budget, and he knew it was a fantastic studio! I also ran into a young Carmen Electra there who was shooting a video there. She asked me if I was a janitor. I was wearing my comfortable clothes at the time, an old tie dye Tuxedo shirt (my first and last attempt at tie die, our bathtub was stained black for 2 weeks, sorry Lynette), sweats, untied high tops and unwashed hair. We had a nice conversation and I liked her, but although Prince was cool with us recording there, I don’t think he would ever allow one of his employees to come to work dressed the way I was, not even on Casual Fridays. He is brilliant musically, professionally and in Branding, and by always setting a high bar for this Minneapolis musician to aspire to.

lyrics

Hello! Hello? Speedo get back, say how you been? I always knew that you'd be my friend. Been along time since you been around, glad to see that your back in town. Ronnah step back let me look at you. Sorry to hear what you've been through. Don't look back he's gone away. Now you're here and I hope you'll stay.

In our House of Stone, we are not alone when we all get home, to our House of Stone.

I never knew it could be this way so simple and free.
So easy, like me!
